About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hike the Camino de Santiago!

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in the great state of New Mexico, but I studied literature and writing at Southern Oregon University in Ashland.

Now I live in Chicago, where I teach and study poetry at Columbia College.

PHILOSOPHY

"Compassionaters, perceivers, rapport of men,
We walk silent among disputes and assertions, but reject not the disputers nor any thing that is asserted[...]" --Whitman, from "To Him That Was Crucified"

Films: I'm trying to watch more Spanish movies these days. Recommendations?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland certainly changed everything I thought I knew about vastness and beauty.

The first time I saw the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, I thought I could just die right then and there, and be perfectly content.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a thing or two about guitar and/or English, and you can teach me more about your language and your culture and you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States
