I love wildlife--sharks, snakes, bugs, and the the rest of the planet's inhabitants. I'm always up for playing boardgames or making crafts, or watching a sci-fi movie.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurf a lot on road trips, and whenever I can on longer trips. I host if I'm living in one place for long enough :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm continually impressed by the amazing people I meet, and hope I'm still doing this when I'm 90.

Drove across the US with my friend in 2008, and we couchsurfed in Flagstaff, Amarillo, Memphis, Chicago, Montreal. Then in Bozeman, MT when looking at prospective grad schools. Stayed in a yurt in Mongolia with my dad. Surfed in Laramie, WY on another road trip. My husband and I surfed our way around France (Paris, Marseille, Nice and Paris again).

Interessen

Going out hiking or camping is how I relax and like to spend my free time. I try to go scuba-diving once a year, too :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I mostly read non-fiction, anything about science, ecology, evolution, human civilization, human evolution, ...one of my favorites is Mary Roach.

As for movies, I love documentaries and sci-fi!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I was bitten on the foot (with booties) by an eel in a Japanese cave. Hands down one the funniest and scariest moments of my life.
