ABOUT ME

We are taking a break from our university degrees (bachelor of arts - politics and development studies)to work in France and Spain.We are interested in seeing the world and always learning more.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We surf, host and go to CS gathering, parties etc.
We also do our best to convince people this isn't a community of crazys but actually a really cool idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in Brussels, Toulouse (for 1 month!), Lyon, Madrid, Berlin, Bilbao, Amurrio, Barcelona and Foix. We are now hosting in Bilbao and we've also met many other surfers during our travels for coffees, beers, tours and parties. Also attended the Fete du Magret Invasion in Toulouse which was a lot of fun.

Music, too many to name all and we are no good at favourites but here are some we've been listening to of late: Florence and the Machine, Sarah Blasko, Rage Against The Machine, Angus and Julia Stone, Bob Dylan, The Doors, José González, Urthboy, TZU, The Clash, Massive Attack, Gorillaz, The Black Keys, Nick Cave...

Movies: Blues Brothers, Amélie, Mostly Martha, Snatch, Empire Records, Dr Strange love, Breakfast Club, The Spanish Apartment (an experience we are attempting to replicate in real life)

Books... different tastes - Anna: fantasy/sci fi, politics, Jane Austen... Morgan: politics(anything by Noam Chomsky), history, crime, Bill Bryson
- but we both agree on George Orwell...

We can teach people how insignificant and far away from everything Australia is (and how big!) and how to drink Guinness! (well Morgan can anyway...) We love to learn new skills (practical, eco stuff especially); cooking, making things, sewing, anything really! And can teach what little we know of such things...
Always happy to swap some English for Spanish/French/Basque or whatever else is going...
