ABOUT ME

i made a site-specific psychedelic wild west show this year and am starting work now on an experiential piece about subculture, common culture and vaudeville. i want to learn screenprinting, i do a fair amount of internet research. i'm an oldest sibling, i have a lot of instruments and am in a renegade marching band (my second). the longest i've lived in a place since birth is three years but i just bought a house, so i think that's about to change...

lived on some awesome dudes' couch in eastern market for two weeks when i first moved to detroit and we're still friends!

Interests

i am in love with the ukelele. i think the stranger is the best weekly paper ever invented. i love community celebrations. i cry at protests, parades, and google chrome commercials.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i lost big time on a karaoke game show shown on provincial chinese tv back in december/jan 2005. big time. up side? i had fly girl/fly boy dancers, and the tv production staff liked me enough to 1. say they'd leave their girlfriend for me (uncomfortable) 2. buy me a pair of mittens (warm) and 3. invite me back for their 10th anniversary celebration to represent their arts and education channel (fun).
