About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world one step at a time! I'm in love with traveling and every element of it...the people you meet along the way, the humbling experiences, the awesome food and delish local brews, the cultures and traditions that you get to be a part of. Traveling refreshes me and makes me feel like me.
ABOUT ME
Up for adventure?! I guess we are all, hence why we're on here :) I always manage to have a good time if I'm with good company! I'm a very positive person and genuinely enjoy getting to know new people.
One of my goals in life is to be an official member of the Century Club which means you have to visit 100 countries...37ish down, just a few more to go :) The only thing is I don't just want to swing in and out...this doesn't count. I really want to get to know the people, secret local spots, best home cooked foods, and traditions. Where do you and your best friends hang out? Why do you love living where you do? As a guest, I'm happy to entertain myself if you're busy, but if you're free, I'd love to join you for adventures...whether that means going for a hike or just hanging in for a night of board games. As much as I love seeing monuments and churches, I love meeting new people...so spending a day with a CSer and learning about their culture is much more enticing!
I studied in Granada, Spain then did a tour-de-Europe with my good old backpack in 2006 and fell in love with the countries, culture, and people. It was sad to leave, but I knew I'd return at some point! I then returned back to Spain as a language and culture assistant for two years helping schools become bilingual. Look at that...dreams do come true! I'm now back in Boston as a Spanish teacher, but am still living the dream! Unfortunately, I can't host here due to my living situation, but I'd love to start getting back into the CS scene. I always have an "adventure bag" packed in case some free time for an adventure pops up, and am hoping that will involve more CS.
When I'm not teaching Spanish or running a ski camp in the winter or language immersion camp in the summer, you can find me playing kickball, dodgeball or football, skiing or snowshoeing, paddleboarding or kayaking, hiking, or hanging out with friends.
PHILOSOPHY
~*Life is what you add to it*~
"Live ecah day like it's your last, but make sure to save a lil bit just in case you're still around"
Put yourself out there as much as possible; the experiences you have, the people you meet, and the personal stories you hear have the ability to shape and inspire you in so many ways.
