ABOUT ME

It is not difficult to make me happy, I enjoy life as it comes. I take great pleasure in little things, little pleasures of everday life, as they say. A daisy always makes me smile, sunrays kissing my face keep me content for the rest of the day. A playful dog on grass running after a ball makes me instantly happy (I'm actually a little obssesed with dogs, especially French bulldogs rock!). Quite simply, I love life.

I'm driven by my childhood dreams of tracking wildlife in remote areas of the globe, and by my less childhood urge to do something about the fact that the world is being run in a terribly unjust way, without respect for people and nature.

Disclaimer: If during a conversation with you I get distracted by a dog/bird/insect/possibly child running past and start making inarticulate happy noises, please, don't be offended! It's stronger than me and happens to me regardless of who I'm talking to!

Life! as for its particular aspects: nature, ecology, scuba-diving travelling -learning how to make it more responsible,bird-watching ,sketching/painting, swing dancing. Oh, and languages, that's a big one. (currently learning Indonesian)
People. And other animals, too

I enjoy learning about art, history, culutures and civilizations, but I seem to have very short-lasting memory for these.

I love long talks late into the night, especially when accompanied with a glass of red wine.

Music: way to much and changing too often, at the moment ranging from Dead Can Dance, through Manu Chao, Mirah and Beta Band, Fatboy Slim, Eddie Vedder to good old Fisz and Maria Peszek(polish).

Movies: so many that I like, but these are a few that I can now think of that have had really affected me:
Black Cat, White Cat; Monty Python's productions (especially Holly Grail); Madeinusa, Jasminum; Before the Sunrise/Before the Sunset (thank you Trevor!), Into The Wild, Green Mile, Persona, Triplet de Belleville, Anioł w Krakowie

Books: Tortilla Flat, Prawiek i inne czasy, The Perfume, The Methamorphosis, Little Pleasures of Everyday Life, Poetry by Hopkins and Gałczyń€žski and many others.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My first hitch-hiking trip, from Scotland through France to Spain and back with two friends, 2 years ago. No real plan, no real structure,the most 'venturing into the unknown' experience I've got so far.
