About Me

CURRENT MISSION

penetrating oocytes - no kidding!

ABOUT ME

Right now (2014), I am kind of a homeless person. :) I just finished the biggest part of my medical studies in good, old Marburg and will work in three different hospitals in the coming year. So these are pretty exiting times for me, since I don't really know what's gonna happen next.
Since 2005 I have been living and studying in this wonderful, small and picturesque town called Marburg right in the center of Germany. I would describe my own life as unspectacular but intense. I try to use every free moment to enjoy my hobbies (especially music) and spend time with the people I learned to love here.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't get bothered or stressed very fast. Life is too beautiful to waste your time with anger or frustration. If there is an obstacle ahead, I tend to say that "we will cross that bridge once we reached it".

Interests

To be honest, I don't really have interests or hobbies that other people would consider to be particularly special or uncommon. But it works out pretty fine for me, and I guess that's what counts in the end. =)

I am totally into music, some people would call me a music nerd. I use to check music websites daily, buy more records than I can afford, visit concerts and of course some festivals (Haldern!) in the summer.

I love reading both books and newspapers. Until now, I have aquired quite a library, but you don't give a good book away, do you? I pretty much enjoy every kind of literature, as long as it is not too trivial.
Besides those two time-consuming activities, I enjoy long-distance hiking or cycling trips A LOT. Building up my tent in the wilderness and jumping in a abandoned lake at night is what I do for holidays. I love nature and right now, I am trying to improve my knowledge of plants and trees.
Other than that, I am interested in a number of things like science, politics, art, theatre and so on. I enjoy talking about a variety of subjects without being an expert in any of them ;-)
Oh, and I really like to go out, drink way too much and perform some really bad dancing skills. Occasionally.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping in the swedish wilderness, while the wolves are howling at night.
Seeing Explosions in the Sky at the Haldern Pop Festival was quite mesmerizing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my impressive Heroes of Might and Magic III - knowledge with you! Other than that, you are probably not interested in diseases and cures, cause I could lecture on that for hours... but we can talk about any other subject you like! Really! I might even be able to teach you something. You never know. :-)
