ABOUT ME
American born to Canadian parents, I've been living in Paris for most of my life, thanks mostly to a crazy Frenchman awhile back, but also because of his weird Aussie accolytes who were living here at the time.
Blame it on the boogie, I'm stuck here, and try to break free from time to time, around this beautiful country, getting back to Vancouver or L.A. to see family, or travelling with my international family and friends elsewhere...

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I know a lot of people in Paris and all over France with many a couch. I live frugally, but happily, in this amazing city amongst the best friends, and people I believe, anywhere.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My goodness - interesting. Most recent reasons: I owned an apartment, and rented it in 2006 to go city-surfing, which I did successfully, here, for three years. Once bitten by the couch-surfing lifestyle it is very hard to go back. Before that, I used to travel outside of the city with friends a lot, and I guess it all started as an exchange student, years ago, staying with different host families. Loved it so much, I adopted the country ;-). On the other side of things, when I had a big place in the suburbs here for 4 years, I had 4 big rooms that were always full of people - and a big fridge (for once!) that fed us all too. Missin' that place, lots.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Participated in the distribution of 100 thousand free computers and printers as a part of Universal Vivendi's employee gift program in 2001.
Written and recorded music of my own (for once) and seen other people dive into it, perform it, air it...A bit frustrating (I've got bad performance anxiety) but life-changing too, to say the least.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I've been a yoga student for almost 15 years, teaching all over Europe since 2004, and am part of an international community of non-profit yoga teachers (www.sivananda.org). I know yoga has become very classy now since it's more humble beginnings in the west over 60 years ago, and I have nothing against Lululemon and Nike yoga mats, but I don't own any. Yoga for me is about constant balance, and connection - a little bit more every day.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I have cooked vegetarian meals professionally, and love to make food.
I am not a vegan, I will also eat eggs and fish - but I prefer to cook as much vegetable protein as I can afford (even organic vegetarian food is generally less than meat). I do not cook vegan pastry either - I think I'd have to leave this country if I couldn't eat the sweets, and the cheeses!
