About Me

CURRENT MISSION

This Earthen incarnation. Being alive, awake. Allowing open hearted communication through the atmosphere and beyond.

ABOUT ME

Life is amazing and awesome and awful and beautiful. I'm glad I am here, and thankful that I love it.

I write music, play in bands, take photographs, love walking down the river by myself, I love hanging out with and meeting people I love. Vibrant life. Exuberant sunshine.
I am conscious of feeling like I am here for a reason. Mysterious.

PHILOSOPHY

We are already free. Stay true. Follow the heart. Awareness arises from stillness and silence, as does everything else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am going to Puerto Rico on Sept. 29 and I am probably moving out of my current living situation before I leave. I look forward to having a great spot in Portland to offer travelers. One of my oldest visions coming more and more into reality is to open a space in Portland that would serve as a hostel/couch surfing spot for awesome people from around the world as well as a music venue, coffee shop, internet hang out, and community center. Travelers and philanthropists, stay tuned...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went on an amazing hitchhiking trip from the north Oregon coast to north of San Fransisco on the California coast and manifested a number of beautiful couch surfing experiences with my mind and thumb many years before I've heard of couchsurfing.com. What a cool blessed trip. I have also been on a couple tours up and down the west coast with bands I'm in playing shows and sometimes meeting really sweet people to host us for a night.

Interests

Rocking, walking, biking, skateboarding, photography, recording, dreaming, traveling, natural building, sustainable community, high fives and secret hand shakes, full moons and starry skies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I can think of is this hitchhiking trip I went on with an ex-girlfriend in 2001, I think. We were planning on finding a place to set up home out in the forest after we got dropped off at the coast by Kelley's dad, but after hiking down the highway for a half-hour and finding it the not most enjoyable experience we decided to hitchhike and our next three weeks just kept opening up from there. We had an intense trip imagining what we wanted to do next, sticking are thumbs out, then getting picked up by the person who would take us to pretty much the exact type of situation we had imagined. I remember feeling like manifestation was not an idea at this time but a very real reality. One point we asked the universe for a place in the forest near a town with a wood stove and maybe an oven. Our next ride took us there: a campsite on the outskirts of Williams, Oregon, with a wood stove. There was even a wood burning oven down the trail. Another ride we were very tired and wanted to be taken care of and not worry about where to stay or what to eat for a few days. We got picked up by a really nice fellow who was no his way to volunteer at the Kate Wolf music festival on Wavy Gravy's ranch in California and offered to take us there and hook us up with a volunteering position as well. Whoa! Really a cool trip. One of my favorite things about traveling and being out of my comfortable home-town element in general is how much more open I can feel sometimes to the limitless possibilities of what we can do with this time here on Earth!
