ABOUT ME

I'm originally from Berkeley, California but currently studying in Boston where I live in an amazing co-op with 33 other students. I have been lucky enough to spend many months traveling in Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua and Tanzania in the past few years. I have loved the experiences I've had abroad and have been amazed at the vast diversity of humanity and the fact that even considering that vastness, I can still feel the little threads that tie us all together in each place I've gone. Lately though every place I go I realize that where I really want to be right now is in Berkeley, a city I feel I've only started to build a relationship with and where I can sink down some roots for a while. I'm thrilled that I'll finish up at my university this year and be able to head back there.

PHILOSOPHY

Still working on it. I know it has something to do with interconnectedness, listening, speaking, being moved, being alert, trying to move at least one small part of the world in a better direction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I unfortunately have never had my own place so I haven't had a chance to host. This is my first time seeking places to surf and I am very excited to meet some interesting people. I've been a member for a while now and have been itching to use the site; everything I've heard from friends about their couchsurfing experiences has made it seem like every couchsurf experiences is a little adventure.

Interests

I'm an avid tea drinker. I love rivers. I love dancing. I love being outdoors and slowing down and writing poetry. I'm really good at sneaking into places where I'm not supposed to be. I spend a lot of time thinking about global inequity, gender and sexuality, what my responsibility is and to whom, and how to care for myself and the people in my life. I am interested in seeking and creating happiness. My little red bike is a great source of joy.
