Overview
About Me
a neophile who equally loves to vegetate. my love for diversity has me addressing disaster response in the remotest villages of India at one time, while also staying up all night for the launch of my favorite gadget at another. Someone who's constantly wading between materialism and spiritualism. But, at both ends you'd definitely find me reading, photographing, enjoying gourmets and mostly Talking ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that i merely live in between my travels, and that if someone would pay me I wouldn't stay in once place for long. Since i can't be a serial traveller now, due to my financial liabilities, i feel Couchsurfing is the best way for travel to come to me. Meeting explorers, travellers from all over the world is one step closer to travelling to those places. Besides, i'm awesome company to explore new gourmets, places, adventures and stories.
Interests
When i'm not chatting away, i'm generally doing my endurance cycle rides, trekking, doing Yoga, hogging or chilling by the Himalayas. And while doing all of these i'm taking pictures to tell stories :-) a social media enthusiast, i love to observe and absorb any form of newness, it's the unchartered waters that interest me most.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to different kinds of sounds, from Jazz classics to contemporary pop. I do love my music to be loud and thumping too, and you'd find the sound filling the rooms more often. A similar diverse taste in movies and books. some movies that are always in my go-to list are Into the Wild, Shawshank redemption, Dark knight rises, LOTR, The Last Samurai, Avatar, Italian Job, Swades (hindi), Zindagi na Milegi Dobara (hindi). I love the freakonomics series and the wit of Jeremey Clarkson, i'm usually game to explore more non-fiction, though i'm a huge fan of Ayn Rands works.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow, this totally feels like self-pimping. But, lemme try. One of the most amazing experiences we had ( my wife & I) was when we fostered 9 girls for almost 2 years in an orphanage in Mumbai. These girls had no kin, and it'd be wonderful to see the glint of joy in their eyes, when we would visit them every other week.
Teach, Learn, Share
Besides sharing the amazing stories and photos from my own travels, i practise teach Yoga. I find it extremely de-stressing and keeps my charm increasing going year after year, just kidding ;-) I hope to learn about the people of our planet and effectively be more humane to each other. we are all but one of the few million species that share the planet. And i hope to share the stories of as many as i can, while making them a part of mine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm willing to share my apartment, that includes the living room, bedroom, kitchen space and bathroom. But more than that, i'd be willing to share my time and stories with whoever wants to share. I'd be up for a coffee or showing you the best food joints in the city, and even accompany you to Rishikesh, Agra or Jaipur over the weekend. I'd love to make your stay in the city as memorable as possible, in return for the amazing experiences that so many people have given me in different cities world over.
