About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live each day to the fullest, to help others to do the same, to promote world peace ,to protect the environment
ABOUT ME
My friends might say that I am energetic, enthusiastic, hard working, dependable, caring, kind and lots of fun to be around. I have a blended family which consists of a husband, 6 children and 8 grandchildren. We are a busy bunch! I lead hikes with the Appalachian Mountain Club, teach skiing to children and volunteer my time to a local organization devoted to community service. I try to stay fit so that I can enjoy all my outdoor activities which include hiking, swimming, skiing and sailing.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy in life is to treat others the way that I would like to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing opens up the possibilities for meeting a wide range of people while traveling which enriches the experience significantly, especially when travelling alone.
I have only surfed once and it was a wonderful experience! My host introduced me to some now new friends from Budapest, took me sailing and generously opened up the world of CS to me.
Interests
I love people, especially children. When I taught first and second graders, I shared with them my love of the outdoors in an effort to instill in them a lifelong respect for the natural world which would hopefully translate into protection of the environment. I am happiest when hiking towards a mountaintop, skiing or snowshoeing on a crisp and cold New Hampshire day, swimming off a sun drenched beach on Martha's Vineyard or hauling in a wind filled mainsail during a sailboat regatta. I read every day and particularly enjoy stories about people engaging in a personal challenge. I can usually prepare a beautiful and healthy meal from whatever is in the refrigerator!
