About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Settling down, building some community and putting down some roots somewhere special, while continuing to explore the world, meeting good folks, seeing new interesting things, and learning old ways...
Also, I recently made a mandolin by hand, so gotta learn how to play the darn thing
ABOUT ME
August 2019 - just moved back to Dublin to be with my partner Anita, and build some community, continue woodworking, etc...
September 2018 - Studying at a woodworking college here in Fort Bragg, northern California just moved here after living in Ireland for the last couple years, getting settled in and looking forward to meeting travelers and cool folks from around here or there, and hosting people when we can.
Wrapped up a long bicycle trip a few years ago, started in Singapore, southeast Asia a few years ago, through China, central Asia, Caucasus, Turkey, Greece, Balkans, eastern and southern Europe, around Britain & Ireland, and back on the continent zig-zagging all around Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Baltics, Poland, and finished up in Ireland.
We'll see what the future holds, as I'm getting tired of constantly moving, need to settle down, and put down some roots somewhere, make some good friends, but it's gotta be somewhere interesting to keep the adventure going, and for sure won't stop traveling but in smaller doses...
I'm pretty laid back, down for hanging out and meeting interesting folks doing neat things and exploring rad places.
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I use Couchsurfing a ton to hang out and stay with friendly, interesting & fun folks as I make my way around. Really great experiences all along the way
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been using CS, hosting and staying with great folks from all over the world, the last couple years, while biking across Asia and Europe for a few years before that and while traveling for work over the 6 years before that.
Been a great way to meet locals from all over the world, and really experience your culture, food, music, family life, etc. A million times better then staying in a hostel or hotel! Also, a good way to meet fellow travelers and find out about great events in new cities and when I was settled down a bit in my old hometown of Pittsburgh.
