About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn everything

ABOUT ME

oh gracious, but this is difficult! i've been many things, but the one that i'm trying to be now is that open to everything - content with what she's given laura...and most of the time i manage.

PHILOSOPHY

be good. do good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've been traveling since i was twenty...which was a long time ago. since my first ventures out i've been bowled over by the kindness of strangers, the perfection of the seemingly random and the bliss that comes with trusting that everything will be just as it should be. travel is an integral part of my being and i want to support it in every way possible.
also sometimes i need a place to crash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

have been taken into homes and hearts on various continents and have tried my best to return the favor.

Interests

i like to sleep on the ground. i like to wake up when i stop sleeping, not when something says beep beep. i like to eat healthy. i like to learn about how other peoples minds work. i like to read people's astrological charts. i like things that i don't know anything about. i like anything that starves my mind and feeds my spirit

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are too many to count, but this year I spent 53 days in a camp in Kumbh Mela, the largest gathering of human beings on the face of the planet in Allahabad, India. Amazing doesn't even come close to what that was...

Teach, Learn, Share

this one is painful. how do you talk about what you know without sounding like a pompous ass.
i studied art for years, painting and photography mostly...later the study turned inside. i've been in asia for more than a decade studying yoga...teaching yoga. doing retreat. studying buddhism (mahayana mostly)
i am so grateful for what i have learned. i am so humbled by the prospect of being able to share it.
i won't shove any of my beliefs or theories down your throat, but ask me a question and i'll answer it with joy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, Brazil, India, Israel, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam
