ABOUT ME

As you many have noted- I do not have a photo posted. This is mainly due to my lack of knowledge in regards to technology but I am currently on the mission to complete this task. The photo will include my cat- Betty- who is a true beauty but also one of the most peculiar animals you will ever meet. I do not know about the beauty part, but I do have a very unique personality. I am very laid back and do not let everyday events bother me. I have a realistic perspective of the world and respect the diversity that it brings. I love children (I work with them), animals (I originally wanted to work with them), and quality conversation (something I do not get enough of). I also bake great chocolate chip cookies and often give them as thank you gifts.

I have never participated in CS before but I have slept on my fair share of couches.

My first job was as a librarian and my love of books have continued since that time. My favorite's are early 20th century novels that show the in depth dynamic of the American family. I am an Engaged Buddhist and spend a notable amount of time reading traditional literature and dharma talks, this is why I sound like a self help book at times. My taste of music is vast and eclectic- I will listen to anything as long as it is creative and original. I have spent a large amount of life listening to such artists as the Pixies, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, the Roots, De La Soul, etc. In my CD player now is Nick Caves, At the Drive-In, the Flaming Lips and some Buddhist chanting. I have a very short attention span and only watch really good movies.
