ABOUT ME
My parents grew up in India, so I've always had a base outside the United States. My daily goal is to wind up in an interesting or bemusing situation. I've played chess in an all-male coffeehouse in Cairo (and won!), played charades in Hyderabad, fallen asleep at the opera in Mannheim, and chased people (friends!) through the streets of Croydon. My favorite thing to do on the road is visit a local home or local pub, people-watch, and hear stories. The more laughter, the better! I don't really care about partying - conversation keeps me happy.
PHILOSOPHY
My most valuable possessions are my stories and memories. Everything else will fade.

Right now: the American presidential election, developments in handheld technology, constructions of gender and sexuality, generational change, world demographics, neuroscience...and martial arts, but only to the extent of occasionally watching a 5-minute clip on youtube and clumsily mimicking what I see. :)
