About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a self employed fitness and lifestyle trainer. I do personal training and believe in helping people get the most out of their lives. I'm a goal setter and dream getter. Hahahaha I've got the craziest atomic laugh as its been described. I also work as an Artist and trying my hand at public speaking. I also build thematic structures at local festivals. (check out pics). I also try to fix and maintain older homes in my city.

PHILOSOPHY

Live your dream today as tomorrow will come and become today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted many, up to 6 at one time. Crazy!! I've slept on couches. Thank you for making my travels easier and safer. I've gone for coffee or tea and enjoy making a connection to others who live around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I feel the scariest thing for me and traveling is lack of security and I feel couch surfers help ease my fears as I feel safer being with locals and getting information about the area I am in. I feel it really makes my travel experience so much better when I can have peace of mind. I also want to provide that sense of ease to others. I also feel I'm at a point in my life where I am wanting to make quality connections. In an ideal world, it would be with people I can follow up with in life, meet up again and continue to check in. I know it is hard to control this and force it, but my goal would be to use couchsurfing as a way to make some longer-term connections, experience a deeper sense of being and live vicariously through others. Hahaha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a tough question. I have anxiety when it comes to travel which is one of the reasons I try to push myself to go. It's part of the fear of being alone and trying to survive. I think anytime I set out to do it and I come back after the experience I feel awestruck. I feel I am lucky with this challenge and it has made me a stronger and better person. I hope to help others who also feel challenges with change or new things. My purpose to help ease our minds and body, just as hosts have done for me in the past.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good discussion hopefully, relaxing stays, I'm pretty low maintenance and travel with just a carry on. I used to dance so I am still up for a good night of music but also prefer a sit in a park. Hopefully a solid connection which lasts longer than a weekend of hosting. I prefer to build relationships but know they can't be forced. I feel I've had mostly really good experiences with CS and people I still call up and talk to or go to re visit. I look forward to more of this in my life.
