About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible in the years before my children start their own families

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy American female with a passion for lifelong learning and exploring. I love learning about other people and other cultures!

PHILOSOPHY

I am at my best when learning and/or teaching.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Staying with locals is a much richer experience than staying in an impersonal, corporate hotel. I love the wisdom and local history I learn from each host and can't imagine staying in a hotel ever again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I started with couchsurfing, I stayed with six hosts as I traveled across the American Midwest. Each family enriched my life and taught me something!

In Madison, Wisconsin, I discovered couchsurfing events. I have met terrific people just by attending various activities people have organized.

Music, Movies, and Books

if I haven't fallen in love with your favorite movie or music or book it's because I haven't met the person who can explain it as enthusiastically as you can!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado, United States. It truly is a purple mountain majesty. I joyfully ran the Chicago Marathon when I turned 40 to celebrate ten years of no longer smoking. I have visited every state in my country save Alaska. I have visited my first mosques in Turkey and the site of the Berlin Wall in Europe. Every day is an adventure!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Mexico, Monaco, Poland, Puerto Rico, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
