ABOUT ME

I am beginning my journey to Europe in 2 weeks!! I will be staying with awesome host families and exchanging my horse riding skills as well as other skills for board and food. I have never traveled outside of the US except for Mexico for 2 weeks, so this should be AMAZING!!!

PHILOSOPHY

I truly feel that since you only have one life, you must live it to the fullest. I know it is hard to do this all the time, and I dont know a single person that can. However, I think of this every day and remember that at any time, life can be taken from you, so enjoy every second of it and try to make your life the best you can!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think Couchsurfing could not be a better idea to bring community and culture together! What an amazing way to experience and enrich each others lives and gain an understanding of what other places are like, while totally diving into a locals perspective!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love comedies and suspense, but not horror! I dont have the best taste in movies or books, but as of right now, my main bible is Rick Steves Europe Through the Back Door!!! I listen to all kinds of music, but mainly classic rock like Led Zepplin, Beatles, REO Speedwagon, Journey, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My mom has been a nurse for 35 years, and is a Doula (birth attendant) so I saw my first birth when I was 12. That was life changing and absolutely amazing, and made me realize that I may want to do nursing at some point in the future. I also saw Maya Angelou speak at my school, and she is the most empowering, wise, compassionate woman I have ever been able to have the joy of listening too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can attempt to teach people to take things with a grain of salt, and to have a sense of humor for most things in life. I want to learn everything from everyone and how they want to make the most out of this life and how I can too!
