I studied philosophy at the University of Michigan. Since then I've worked at a film festival in Ann Arbor, on a trail crew near Yosemite in California, and then taught English for 2 years in Madrid. For the past 7 years I've been living and working in San Francisco.

I like climbing, writing, photography. I recently started learning to sail and play the cello.
