ABOUT ME

I have been travelling on and off for a few years in Asia, recently living for two years in Tokyo. Got back into the UK late '08. Been in the military ever since.

An ideal day would probably include a load of snowboarding or other outdoor activity, followed by some honsen action in the afternoon. Top it off with some decent Asian food, perhaps a Thai curry or some sushi ?, followed by an evening at the bar!

I'm also a closet American...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a few experiences as a guest in Russia, and also meeting people here in Oxford. It's an interesting idea which I hope can influence people's perceptions of other cultures for the better.

I love snowboarding, running, cycling, cars/driving, learning about different cultures, honsen, architecture, good vodka, sashimi, fashion (a little..), the mountains, Japanese, traveling...

I loved 'The Way of the World' by Swiss author Nicolas Bouvier. Two guys travel Asia in a beat up old Fiat. Definitely worth a read. Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion is also fascinating.

Bunjee jumped in the Queensland jungle. Walked the Yamanote line in Tokyo in eight hours. Gained a place at Sandhurst.
