About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore as much as possible

ABOUT ME

I am out to explore and have fun. I love places and culture, and meeting new and interesting people. I am learning not to take myself or others too seriously, and to make the most of each opportunity I get. Whilst I love exploring and going on adventures, I am also passionate about my home city (Cape Town) and my friends and family.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to live life to the full, make the most of every opportunity and be happy. However, it's not always like that, which makes it interesting. My friends and family are most valuable to me. I aim to be tolerant of others and embrace different ideas and ways of doing things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am always keen to get involved and get to know new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first CS experiences surfing in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. I love getting to share with people and taking part in their home and community!

Interests

I enjoy art, design, and music; drink wine and beer; eat anything if it's good; play tennis; love the ocean, sailing, going to the beach, mountains; and love having a good time with open and happy people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am really bad at choosing favourites, my interests are varied. I love all three - movies, music and books - but don't make me actually list specific examples!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once again I am so bad at choosing examples. For me there have been lots of amazing experiences. Cruising down the Amazon river and feeling its energy was incredible. Celebrating NYE camping on a beach in Oman with the sunset, moonrise and then phosphorescence in the waves! Phosphorescence is always one of the most amazing things for me; I absolutely love it every time. Bumping (literally) into a couple of whales during a night time sail near Cape Town; very scary but amazing. Macchu Picchu was also very special for me. And sky diving!

Teach, Learn, Share

My passion or interest is in sustainable development, communities, and how normal people can work together with the government, NGOs, businesses etc to make a 'successful' future. I'd love to meet people who can teach me more on these subjects and share ideas.
