About Me
CURRENT MISSION
paying back my karmic debt...
ABOUT ME
Recently returned to Israel after a year of traveling (Russia, Mongolia, China, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Brazil, USA) and nearly 6 years of living out of the country (USA- San Francisco and NY).
Moved into a nice new apt, found a nice new studio, have yet to find a nice new job...
For the mean time, enjoying this complicated F*#%*ed up place, studying French, making art, trying slowly to make sense of the madness, exercising my democratic right to demonstrate and speak up against injustice while trying not to get arrested. (google "Sheik Jarrah" for an explanation...)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Finally! the time has come.
I have an address, an extra room, extra blanket-- I'm all set to pay back the karmic debt I amassed last year traveling and being hosted by lovely amazing people all around the world.
so I'm happy to open my door and pull out a mattress for anyone passing through.
Also happy to meet for coffee/beer and show people around town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A year of traveling and being hosted by some of the nicest, most interesting kindest and most generous people on the planet.
The thought of traveling without couchsurfing just seems like a chore-- repeated conversations in hostels all over the world, lonely hotel rooms, tourists hanging out with tourists, just seems empty, and unrewarding.
I don't know how to begin to explain just how wonderful CSing has been for me. The world is a richer more interesting place because of it.
Thank you to every CSer out there, for the conversations, the arguments, the laughs, the food, drink, homes, families and memories. Traveling will never be the same.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learned how to build a 20 person wooden fishing boat (Dhow) from scratch in Tanzania.
Was apprenticed to a boat-building master for a month. We started with a single plank on the shore and ended up, a moth later, with a beautiful hand crafted sea worthy vessel.
No power tools (no power at all in fact), no nothing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Know Tel Aviv and (West) Jerusalem well.
Know where to get good food, cheep beer, hear good music etc.
Can teach drawing, English and Hebrew. A pretty decent cook... just point me to the kitchen...
Good at fixing stuff- I'll be happy to fix that broken chair or rusty bike! A bit of a MacGyver...
