ABOUT ME

Hi everybody! I am a 22 year old girl from a small town in Iceland called Selfoss. I consider myself as an outgoing,talkative positive person who loves taking on new challenges, expiriencing and learning about new things and having fun with all kinds of people.

Although being more of a social person I always appreciate the time spent alone; listening to music, reading a good book, walking the dog or simply just put my feat up in the air is charging the batteries for me. These moments usually not last very long though because of the constant urge to go "do" something.

After 14 years of sitting on my behind at school me and my friend Dora (profile on CS) decided to go "do" something and travel the world!

Interests

First thing that pops into my mind that interests me and truly amazes me is music; the uniting power, the thrill, the healing, the heart and the soul in every tune can make my heart stop beating.

Another thing close to my heart is theatre: Watching someone holding an entire room of people in complete awe is amazing. Being the person standing infront of the audience is priceless.

Everything new; to me at least! New people, new knowledge, new places, new adventures...

Music, Movies, and Books

I always have a hard time making a list over my favourite artists there are so many of them. One thing I absolutely love though are icelandic man choirs singing icelandic folk songs. Makes the hairs on the back of my kneck rise (Although I don´t consider myself particularly hairy in that area)

Other favourites are The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, George Clinton, Band of horses, Amy Winehouse, Björk, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Sigur rós, Ray Charles, Hendrix, Oasis, Alanis Morisette, Modest mouse, Radiohead, Cold war kids, Kooks, Kings of Leon, The Streets, Emiliana Torrini and many more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well I live in Iceland, the country IS in one word amazing!; the northern lights, the glaciers, the volcanos and lavas, the harsh winters, the hot springs and all the beautiful mountains.... You really should visit sometime :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I can start off with teaching you the basics in the icelandic language among other things; say after a quick lesson in the top 5 most vulgar cursings I could teach you to sing icelandic hymns and then show you how to party like a viking! How does that sound? :)

I am up for learning anything and sharing everything I can :)
