ABOUT ME

Michael: I'm a doctoral student in computer science at University of Jyväskylä. I like good food and try to cook it as well. I'm the son of a baker so I can make a few good cakes, biscuits...
I also like nature a lot and would like to spend more time hiking and camping. In my freetime I play floor ball, in Belgium I played in the Unihockey A-Team (university team)
I can be very silent sometimes and won't easily start conversations with people, start talking please :) I'm openminded and like to know different viewpoints.
Petra: I'm a language student/working part time. Swedish is my major so if someone wants to speak Swedish with me I could give a try. I like many same things as Michael except that I'm not so much into programming as he is. :-) I'm a small town girl, grown up in the country side in Eastern Finland and nowadays enjoying my life in Jyväskylä. I'm a bit shy but a very lovely person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We provide our place to everyone looking for a couch and will go to more couchsurfing meetings in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Michael: I couchsurfed in Stockholm and Uppsala in Sweden and met a lot of nice people there.
Meanwhile I also surfed some couches in Latvia (Riga) and hosted once. Together with Petra I´ve been couchsurfing in Lithuania.

Michael: I mostly like westerns like The good, the bad and the ugly, High noon,..altough I appreciate a lot of films and Pixar is my deity.
I enjoyed reading Harry Potter and would like to read the last book. I also like John Grisham and would like to read more books of John Maxim

Michael: I can try to explain the Belgian political system, although even for me it's too complex :)
When I go too a place I have to learn some basic vocabulary. I can make real Belgian french fries and would like to learn about food in every country.
