ABOUT ME

Short: i've worked at a zoo, in the swiss apls harvesting edible wild plants, started a bike coop, volunteer a lot, grow my own food (when im not traveling), ride bikes, travel with a heavy backpack and a full belly.

Long: Although i've always dedicated myself to traveling and seeing new places, in 2006 took a 5 year 'vacation' from Lifetime Retirement and moved back to my hometown to help start a nonprofit called the Arkansas Sustainabilty Network. After building three huge Green Expo's, ASN, a Bike CoOp, a Food CoOp, handfuls of workshops, lectures, and more... i'm ready to get back to Lifetime Retirement.

im currently traveling around Japan and Korea for the first time and am excited about all the new flavors im finding~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i've mostly only hosted other travelers so far. I havent taken advantage of the couchsurf experience as much as i would have like.

im traveling around japan with a backpack , a boyfriend , and a tent. we are trying to be as openminded and economical as possible. as fun as the camping experience is (and beautiful) im hoping to be able to spend some time inside some homes to really enrich my experience in this beautiful country. maybe i can learn more this way, and maybe i can teach someone something new...
