About Me

CURRENT MISSION

looking for excitement, joy, and ridiculously unconventional moments

ABOUT ME

All about me? Best is probably to throw in a couple of adjectives - possibly contradictory - friends accuse me of at certain occasions:
alternative, fun adicted, laid back, part time alcoholic, TV hater, dancer, modest, worst singer ever, shy, show off, sportive, crazy, lethargic, lazy, positive... basically an everyday normal guy. ;)
my history: German country boy -> boarding school teenager -> long term student; live in Belfast since 2009

PHILOSOPHY

I gave up on having one particular personal philosophy years ago; Perhaps my philosophy would be then: poeple with philosophies have too much time to think about stuff like this. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

both, travelling and hosting

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Till now I surfed only twice... but want to use it more often in the future as it was always a nice experience...
In our house in Belfast we have been hosting a couple of couchsurfers every year. Not too extensive, though. only when it's convinient or we feel particularly social. ;) also check out my housemate "judith and jude"s page!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Basically I consider everything I do amazing. :) But yeah, some of my experiences deserve to be mentioned:
- Greek wedding: over 400 people drink, dance and have fun the whole night through... really amazing
- Croatian beaches on deserted islands + night swimming in the Adria: boat trip with a couple of friends
- Walking naked through the streets of Leipzig at dawn
- Celebrating in Russia with Russians even though there was no common ground of understanding (I: no Russian, them: no English)
- Iguazu Waterfalls: possibly one of the nicest sights in the world

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey
