CURRENT MISSION
revealing common ground while celebrating diversity
ABOUT ME
I love to hike and dance. Being out in nature is my church and dance is my community. I enjoy traveling, to learn about culture, people, language, and me.
PHILOSOPHY
We are all connected. Our stories might be different, specifically time and place, but the essence of our story, love, abandonment, forgiveness, accomplishment, the essence is the same.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was awesome! It has been way too long, and it's time for me to get out and explore. I enjoy walking around neighborhoods, away from the tourists spots, to hear the language and laughter of community, to smell the regional foods, to see the art, clothing and buildings that characterize the culture of the neighborhood. I hope to make some changes in my own home to welcome CSers. I enjoy sitting around the table, or on my front porch, listening to the night sounds while discussing life, journeys, and definitely share a few laughs.
Interests
Hiking, dancing, writing, spending time with honest, compassionate people who embrace living life fully. I value stories, from what stores are selected to tell, how the story is told, and the way we create our life stories. I believe stories are as important as our breath.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite lists are difficult for me - there's so many to choose from! I'll list a few authors:
Terry Tempest Williams
Diana Gabaldon
Stieg Larsson
Billy Collins
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Choosing to feel, really feel. Like so many people, I had a major transformation that required feeling, being honest with myself, and taking risks to step into the life I really wanted to live.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share my passion for words and stories. It's what we say, the words we use, and what is avoided or silenced when we speak, that expresses our connection to ourselves and the world we live in. I offer writing workshops, to strengthen relationships with words and stories and am willing to have pop-up writing events. I have been involved with youth development, specifically with families living in poverty in the U.S. I appreciate learning how different countries and programs address the issues related to poverty.
