About Me

CURRENT MISSION

treating all serious things trivially, and all trivial things seriously

ABOUT ME

i love poetry. t.s. eliot is the god i pray to. epic music is fantastic, as well as books and good humans. people are endlessly fascinating, and wonderful, and i like all the little things we do that are so important to us, like how everyone fills the streets when it's warm, or drinks warm drinks when it's cold. i would like to meet everyone i can, learn everything that has been learned, and see as many things as possible. oh, and tattoos, i have some, and want some more.

i study philosophy and politics, and hope to remain an eternal student, at least in my head. i ride a bike, because they're incredible.

i would like a pig one day, a small one, whom i would walk around a park in a big city and who i could perhaps teach cards to and play with him. and a penguin who maybe i could teach a little French to or something.

PHILOSOPHY

anytime i try to set any philosophy down, i correct it immediately. i tend to be a cynic and a skeptic (i don't believe in god, politics, language, or completion of anything) but only in striving is anything gained, only in the constant search and movement can the whole be imagined and understood (more like felt, or seen). i believe very strongly in the progress (cyclical) of art and music, and their possibility for approaching that which is universal. because art sets down an image (not a pictoral one, necessarily, but a crystallization of many things into one transcendent...ness, like those fleeting memories on a fall day, of events that may never have happened but are locked in a mix of scent and desire), it has the ability to be reinterpreted and understood by the viewer, which increases the dynamism in humans generally. It is necessary to laugh: at oneself, at the world, at failures and successes. what is all the struggle and toil for if one can't look back without laughter rising up in their throat?
