About Me

CURRENT MISSION

become so good at hugging that everyone wants one.

ABOUT ME

Eat vegan, grow 75% of what i eat, love traveling, taking pictures, bike everywhere, and i project a film every other week in my living room. People tell me way to much personal information about themselves at first time meetings, and honestly, i usually enjoy hearing it. I worked in a psychiatric hospital for 8 years, and nothing seems weird to me anymore. I can tell a wild personal story for every topic, and this has led some people to assume I'm a vampire or at least much older than I look. I am older than I look, and I was recently I'm pretending (part time) to be a 16 year old with gonorrhea for medical students to practice exams. It was not the strangest job I've ever had.

I am very fortunate, because i moved to San Francisco in the summer of 2010 with my best friend/partner/schemer/collaborator, and I learned so much about yoga that I no longer do it. i'm among the 30% of under 30's using what I studied in college (Not Gonorrhea, i have two other jobs). My ability to host is limited by three jobs and a small apartment.

PHILOSOPHY

non-judgmental in the moment excitment. we could benefit as a nation by appointing a secretary of Meditation to oversee all decisions.

How many vegans does it take to change a lightbulb?
None, vegans can't change anything.

How many meat eaters does it take to change a lightbulb?
None, they would rather stay in the dark about things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want people to see this beautiful city... and to bring a jacket. you probably don't need sandals either.
To me This is not about giving people a free place to stay but rather allowing common interests to link people that would be friends, but they have not met otherwise. So, please, have something in common, and don't do an injustice to people in SF that are just like you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once loaned a bike to a CS travelor and gave a bike tour of baltimore, which is something i love to do. also, someone did this for me in Alabama, and it was one of my favorite memories.

Interests

No tv.
love bikes, sewing, banjo, psychology, sustainability, farmers markets, cooking and other countries. I would like to visit New Zealand, India, Nepal, Thailand, and Malaysia. Thailand is probably at the top of the list, because i love Thai food... But for similar reasons, i've been to Italy 6 times.
