About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take nothing but memories, waste nothing but time, leave only footprints ànd at least one big smile on someone's face.

ABOUT ME

an uncommon belgian, living & working in Brussels, that tries not to choose sides in the whole north-south Belgian discussion. But does choose sides in the north-south discussion on a world level.
High into adventure travel and outdoor sports and since a few years salsa.
Likes to read, loves English humour.
interested in issues on development, globalisation, evolution, environment.

PHILOSOPHY

you won't get out of this world alive, so experience it to the fullest.
Forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

share moments, joys, knowledge, ways to live a better life.
try to explain people the complexity of belgium, without prejudice :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

some of my best travel memories were spent with local people that opened their house & hearts to me, be it in Guinea, Corsica, Nepal or Sweden.
I remember one midsummernight at the Polar Circle going with brand new friends to a night shop at 3 AM to make spaghetti.
And also being invited to spend the night in an open air mosk in the middle of the African sahara.

Interests

salsa, science, mountains & hiking, literature, art, music. everything really, as long as it's authentic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- come face to face with a wild boar
- spend a night singing Latino folk songs and getting very drunk with locals in Potosi
- spend an afternoon chewing coca leaves with a guy that (claimed he) had known Che Guevara

Teach, Learn, Share

wanna learn how to dance salsa? use a compass and then get lost on purpose? sleep late? make a bechamel sauce? get weird injuries? waste time? Just one address :-)
