About Me

CURRENT MISSION

reaching my vacation as soon and smooth as possible...

ABOUT ME

This is difficult. It changes, you know? I guess though that I can say that I'm a very curious person. There are so many things that I don't understand about the world and about the people I meet, so I jump right in every time I get confused. That's great.

I love high blue skies and all the colours of the trees right now. I love the ocean. I love watching the light change. I love my privacy and I love sharing it with other people.

I love my studies and spend a lot of time trying to understand what I experience and read. And of course trying to figure out how I can end up having a job where the people I'm studying are those that surround me, where I can continue to study all that beautiful theory and at the same time not be a part of some money-making-business-consultant-crap.

And of course I lovelovelove travelling the world (like everybody else in this cs-community...)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Currently reading and enjoying Thomas Pynchon's "V". Will always love re-reading 'Alice in Wonderland'. Siri Hustvedt's 'What I loved'. Per Højholt's 'Turbo'. Pamuk's 'The black book'. Dostovjesky's 'Crime and Punishment'.

Michel Foucault's 'Power and knowledge' and 'Security, Territory and Population'. Judith Butler's 'Undoing Gender'. Donna Haraway's 'A Cyborg Manifesto: Science, Technology, and Socialist-Feminism in the Late Twentieth Century'. Pierre Bourdieu's 'The Masculine Dominance' and 'Outline of a Theory of Practice'. Deleuze & Guttari's '1000 Plateaus'. Hardt and Negri - everyhing(!).

Music: Saw Tom Waits in Paris this summer after many years of listening to him and now I just can't stop myself putting him on the record player every day. Other than that right now: Efterklang, Sinner/Sunrider, Daniel Johnston...

Films: I just saw this great teenage film called 'The boys from Baghdad High' - teenagers filming themselves (no matter where they live) should be on the big screen all the time!

TV: Other than that I'm a big Ricky Gervais fan, could watch Twin Peaks every day and actually believed for many years that I was part of the 90210-gang.
