ABOUT ME

Born in Boston, MA but moved back to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia after a year and a half until I was 6 then my mom brought me and my brother to Madison, WI so she can continue her studies. Came back to KL when I was 10 where I lived there until mid 2008 when I decided to just drop everything and move to NYC to work part-time & continue studying.

PHILOSOPHY

I would regret more of the things that I didn't do than the things that I did in life.

Do unto others what as you would have them do unto you.

Live life to the fullest.

What goes around, comes around.

Come what may.

It's all in the mind.

Wait, and your dreams will come true.

Patience is a virtue.

Easy come, easy go.

Not forgiving is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die.

Trying is a dignified way of failing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just so I can help spread the beauty of traveling and point out, guide and share new places and experiences to fellow travelers be it new or old. It's all about good, clean fun and meeting people from various cultures and backgrounds.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met a few in NY (Joe Che, Tia Maria), and hosted only one person (Moon, Belgium) so far. I've also met a couple when I was back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia through my friends Pat & William who are also members. Have been in touch with one guy, Matt from NYC while I'm here. Pat introduced me to him as well. Now a whole bunch of friends are CSers ~ the more the merrier!

Teach: how to speak the Malay language, Silat; a traditional Malay martial arts & spiritual healing, how to appreciate & cook Malay dishes, share our customs & costumes, am good at scheduling activities and fun stuff to do, personal styling for those who need tips on fashion & beauty ;) etc...

Learn: anything I don't know yet from language, playing instruments, different cultures, trying new foods, new customs etc..
