Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Our current mission is to host others coming through Fresno
ABOUT ME
We are a communal family of free-thinking intellectuals; a professor, a social worker, a junior at NYU on summer break, and two community college students. We are urban homesteaders in a large Greene and Greene home, with a garden, chickens and an orchard in the middle of the city.
PHILOSOPHY
Sustainability. All the while adventures!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We want to host travelers as they pass through to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and the Owens Valley.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted a growing list of couchsurfers. Each time has proven to be a truly wonderful exchange! Couchsurfing is definitely a two-sided giving and sharing experience. All of the people we have hosted were unique and terrific!
Interests
We are environmentalists. We ride our bicycles almost everywhere, we eat organic, and we seek to minimize our carbon footprints. We love to travel and show visitors all there is to see in our region.

Music, Movies, and Books
We read a great variety of stuff: Paul Ehrlich, Richard Dawkins, foreign films, musicals(!), all music (thank you I-tunes!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sailed across the Pacific; bungee-jumped in New Zealand; finished the Climb to Kaiser bike ride(!); survived Cheyenne, Wyoming Frontier Days, lived a year in Argentina.
Teach, Learn, Share
There is actually a vibrant arts community in Fresno we want to share with you. Then, when you sober up, you could hit the high Sierras and hike to Half Dome, spend time in Death Valley, or bicycle through San Francisco and across the Golden Gate Bridge. All opportunities within 3 hours of travel. OK. You get the point. If you are desperate you can go to the Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield for your authentic country music fix. But remember, Buck is dead.
