I'm a cosmopolite at heart--I love the city and am very happy to finally be living in a great one (San Francisco). I made traveling a priority in college and have been to parts of five continents... so far. Eating the local specialties is a top priority no matter where I am.

James Clavell's Asian saga was a favorite growing up, as well as Robert Heinlein's sci fi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tokyo's Tsukiji fish market at 5AM is one of the coolest things in the world. Sushi for breakfast, yummmm. Great way to beat the jet lag, too. The immense graveyard on Koya-San, the secluded mountain HQ of Buddhism in Japan, is breathtaking in a different way.
