About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm fascinated and driven by adventure, culture, people and landscapes.

I am an adventurer and cameraman based in London, UK. In 2010 I cycled 14,000 miles from New York to Hong Kong. In 2011-12 I walked 3000 miles across China in winter. And at the end of 2012 I trekked through the Empty Quarter desert in Oman, pulling a cart with food and water supplies.

I believe strongly in challenging myself, pushing boundaries and experiencing as much around me as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During previous adventures and travels I have had the pleasure of meeting and staying with many fascinating people around the world. I have also had people to stay with me when I was based in England.

I'm keen to keep this going!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has given me an indescribably better experience during my journeys than I would have had otherwise.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the films of Werner Herzog- he's the man.
My favourite artists are Seth Lakeman, Iron and Wine, Sigur Ros, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Damien Rice, Bjork, Ali Farka Toure and Stevie Ray Vaughan
I devour travel writing of all sorts. John Steinbeck is probably the author who has most influenced me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk to you, that's a definite. Perhaps on topics such as films, music, history, travels, and practically anything else. I might not know very much about them, but I do love a good conversation!
I can expound my beliefs that walking and bike touring are the best mode of transport. I can maybe even play some music for you. And, if all that fails, I can give you some whiskey from my hipflask.
