ABOUT ME

Kaf is from New Zealand and has been travelling for 7 years and Michelle and Becca are sisters from Australia. Becca and Kaf met working on a ski hill in BC Canada and after the season ended travelled to the States with our other Bazzarelli sister Katie! We did a road trip from Vancouver island to California where we went to the music festival Coachella and from there travelled to New orleans to vollunteer. During the ski season Michelle was a crazy hippie living in Nelson. At the beginning of the summer we came together and all worked at an organic winery before hitch hiking from Kelowna, BC to Halifax and back again with 3 back packs and 3 guitars! It took us 19 rides and 21 days to make it to Nova Scotia where we picked blueberries and 5 weeks and 33 rides to make it back!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have all couchsurfed separately and the three of us officially and unofficially couchsurfed across Canada. It was an amazing way to find the gems in a place and we had nothing but laughs with people who are now great friends. Ironically Kaf and Becca were both in touch with a couchsurfer, Duff before going to Canada and although they didn't meet through him they all became close friends in Big White and travelled to the States together. We love couchsurfing and spread the word where ever we go!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We hitch hiked through 7 provinces in Canada and were taken in by our rides, drinking home made red wine with Vietnam War draft dodgers, sleeping in a U-Haul trailer where cops brought us coffee and donuts, drinking Sangria in a Montreal park whilst been entertained by a Cuban and mexican musical extravaganza! getting free guitar lessons in the most unexpected places, picking blueberries and working at a Pow Wow, busking outside the Calgary Folk Music Festival, dancing in the rain to Bedouin Soundclash and falling in love with families, visiting Vanscoy (the best pub in Canada) for a night and leaving 4 days later after going on a bender with hunter S Thompsons' twin brother leo in the beautiful land of Saskatchewan! Going on a road trip to Coachella with our hungry brother and joining the magical mystery tour to new orleans, wearing wreaths of flowers in our hair going over the golden gate bridge to San Francisco and watching our Bazzarelli sister Katie fall in love on Haight and Ashbury St....
