I was born and raised in California. I resigned my teaching position at The University of Alabama last December in order to pursue writing projects this year. The road is always calling my name, so I'm often out of town.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only 'couch surfed' in Cuba, but that was for payment in "casa particulares". No others from this website yet, but I've lived on couches in Tahoe and San Diego.

I like searching out interesting/bizarre places to see or eat. There's a pub in San Diego that boasts the largest grilled cheese selection in the county, and they have some amazing selections, including veggie Baja hot dogs (veggie dogs wrapped in veggie bacon). I loved visiting the museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City.
