recently i went on an adventure to croatia before having known about couch surfing. my friend and i didn't have a place to stay at night on mljet island so we drove our car up a windy road through the mountains. we ended up on a vista point overlooking a moonlight sea, surrounded by islands and a quaint, quiet town far below. how many people can say they've brushed their teeth looking out onto that? we slept the night in the car on the side of a mountain under a full moon in the middle of croatia. that is something i'll never forget!
