关于我
CURRENT MISSION
To have no regrets at all.
ABOUT ME
I am a pretty normal guy who lived in Jaén, Spain for eight months from Sept 2008 till May 2009. It was a great experience and I met soooo many interesting people. Mostly people doing the same program as I was or as a CS host. It truly was an enriching experience.
When I went back home to Belgium I worked at a shop for a while and then started at EF School for Dutch in Antwerp teaching French-speaking Belgians Dutch. It was very fun and I definitely want to stay a teacher.I ended up teaching at the school for about two years and 1/2.
Currently I am studying to get my master's degree in translation. This semester I won't be working so I can focus on my dissertations and remaining courses.
I enjoy travelling and wish I had more money/time to do it more often. This year I will be going to South Korea to visit family and to travel around. So if you have anything you can recommend or are travelling in that area, too, just hit me up.
I love reading and writing. I'm a total fantasy nerd but hey... Guilty pleasures ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Honestly, it might seem cliché, but I absolutely want to avoid regretting anything in my life. So far I'm doing well ^^ Hehe.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In Jaén (Spain)I lived together with two Americans and an Estonian girl. I met a lot of people from the States and a number of Europeans. It is when I was living there that I created this CS profile looking to host any travelers.
We did host a few people; most of the times they were traveling through since Jaén is not known for whatever touristic attractions it may have.
Currently I am living with my parents and I can sadly hardly host anyone, but I am still very keen on meeting new people and getting to know more about other cultures/countries/communities/... Just send me a msg if you are in Belgium/Antwerp.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We had a few couchsurfer over in Jaén, because we only lived in the apartment for eight months and Jaén isn't a very popular touristic city.
We absolutely loved having CS'ers over and I hope that one day soon I can open up my own house again to have more people over for the sake of getting to know new cultures and simply helping travelers.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I have taught at a school in Spain. I was a language assistent in a highschool. It was an amazing experience: I got paid, I learned heaps, I didn't have to work too often so I got to travel through Spain: amazing!
I have participated in several Belgian Dance Championships and have three titles with my dance partner Nina.
We also took our dance troupe DollyWood to the World Championships Disco Dance in Germany and the Czech Republic.
I had the opportunity to meet family members for the first time in Queens (Jan 2010) and to live in Philadelphia for a while (Jun-Jul 2010) getting to know the city and American culture. It has opened my view on the US considerably in many ways (positively and negatively). I definitely want to explore more, but I could never see myself living there permanently.
When I was in Boston I went on a whale watching trip. Seeing a mother and calf rise from the deep sea was absolutely amazing.
