ABOUT ME

I'm a basic physician from Amsterdam with experience working in the Emergency Department, but also a freelance illustrator, coffee junkie, animation and design lover, and blockbuster addict (the cheezier, the better!). People describe me as interested, rational, practical and creative. I want to be a relaxed traveller, connect with new people and be open for anything spontaneous.

PHILOSOPHY

Aiming for that elusive mix of living in the moment, and aiming for the top! You can move mountains and become the most compassionate, brilliant, amazing version of yourself, improving a little bit every day. The trick is to simultanously relax and be completely satisfied where you are. Trying to have a good day, every day!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting in Amsterdam and surfed myself in Japan, New Zealand, UK, Luxembourg.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting:
Surfers from Germany, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, China, US, Japan, all ages and genders, and all very successful happy surfing experiences. I've learned and done a lot of new things in Amsterdam thanks to my surfers. Lots of laughing, lots of food, lots of beer!

Surfing:
Tokyo, Hiroshima, Auckland, Osaka, UK, Luxembourg, all amazing experiences and super interesting people!

I've even had the immense pleasure of seeing surfers/hosts again years later and be able to reverse the roles!

兴趣

Cute cafes, kimono collecting, animation (particulary story and concept), drawing, tiny vintage shops, getting good coffee somewhere in the city, people-watching on a sunny day, sneaking into high class hotels just to see the interior design, road trips, (action)movies, bad romance novels, talking to people about their passions, and cats.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Loads of interesting things in hospitals, birth and death and everything inbetween. Venice in winter, Japan in the rain, biking through Amsterdam on a daily basis is pretty amazing even after 8 years.

I can teach you Dutch language and culture, some basic Photoshop tools, how to wear a kimono properly, what to do and not to in Amsterdam!
