ABOUT ME

Hi everyone. We are a italo-german couple living in Rome. We have been out of reach a little while .. our little 1 year old Daniel was the result of our last trip to Argentina ;-). But now we are back, in three! We love our hometown that we share with a lot of friends all over the world when they come to visit us. I am 31, German, although I grew up in Rome. I studied in London and Rome. Right now I work at for a distance university where I take care of the international relations. Before I spent my time organising events, festivals and concerts and I have also gone into film production where I met Nick. He is 32 and a real Roman ;-). He workes in film production as a location manager but he is also a very good photographer and very passionate about it. We are enjoying a lot of our interests together; mainly our curiosity about the world and people out there and we are looking forward to getting in touch with a lot of you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If we are in Rome and have a sleeping place for you, we are happy to welcome you and to give you the chance to discover this wonderful city. We are glad to give you advice to get around and on what to see. We are looking forward to meeting different people and to share our experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is a great invention. It fits into our lifestyle. I am used to getting visits and myself staying at friends places since I can remember. My parents have always had an open house, as we have always lived 'abroad'.

Centres d'intérêt

We have a lot of them and many in common so ... what about meeting friends, intersting coversations or laughing our heads off, and a lot of music all around the clock, cinema, concerts, cooking, EATING ;-), traveling, photography.. a good glass of red wine and sleeping out!? Ohh forget the dancing bit.. although Nick likes only funny dancing .. which is fine with me!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music, yes please.. and of all kinds.. depending on the mood. Especially soul, bossa nova and jazz.
As for movies..we have different opinions . Nick likes 'Frankenstein Junior', 'Leon', generally the ones directed by Inarritu, Kubrick, Spike Lee, I agree on the Inarritu bit and on Kubrick. I also love Coppola, Almodovar and Tarantino, actors like Garcia Bernal, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep and Benicio del Toro. Ok I stop here as we are starting to argue here... :-)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I love Latin America and I have seen a lot of places there, also volunteering in Peru with street kids. But the best trip has been 3 months through Central America visiting countries like Cuba, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. We went to Argentina 2 years ago. Nick has also been to China for a long trip, producing breathtaking photos.
