ABOUT ME
i keep having to change this little section as it becomes outdated after each bit of travel i do.... so far this year after a little job stint i did in a far away place on a tropical island, the rest of 2010 will be the year of the thesis, to finish my degree and finally cut all ties to that which keeps me shackled to perth. Its not the only thing that keeps me here...
-my husband is shackled to the city too for his degree.
-it is one of the best city's to live in
-its my hometown
But i yearn to see all the places i haven't and revisit those that contain the people i love...so i just keep on going...
PHILOSOPHY
do fun stuff
peace, respect, no bullshit, ...listen
"[I'm] one microscopic cog in t[his] catastrophic plan, designed and directed by t[his] red right hand"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
usually...i like hosting ok, but i think i actually like surfing more! (i guess being the one on holiday makes all the difference)
I just love seeing the way other people live their lives and how that changes the way i live mine! Its like some sort of freaky cultural evolution going on...
at the moment i've had to curb my enthiusiasm and am not able to take in so many surfers...but when i'm feeling better and our place is back to normal, hopefully i'll be able to open the doors up again to welcome new people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
phoenix, arizona...Dawid and genessa and their funky casa in downtown. i want to keep it as my second home town, as my hosts made me feel so welcome! I love you guys and I hope you can come to perth one day.
KG and his nautical antics...wish we could've stuck around more!
pete in pagosa springs - absolute legend
and Brandon and the mission beach N.J. boys - your crew is rocking that sweet lil apartment for all its worth!
I love you ALL!

Music, Movies, and Books
i always forget the ending of stories and forget what books i've read and movies I've watched. I just finished reading 'Even cowgirls get the blues', and when i got to the end (sadly), i just went back to the beginning again and it was like a whole new book. My brain does have an uncanny ability to remember song titles and artists though...love colecting music of all sorts
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
one memory springs to mind - in terms of a charmed moment - when I slept in the baggage railing of an Indian night train in rajastan, after giving up my seat to a soldier with a broken leg, that he couldn't bend. I was the only female, and the only thing that intimidated me that night was the cold.
I have a bit of a fascination with Indian railways and have had many other experiences that have not been so pleasant....but no so amazing to write about here.
Also, my little overnight trek on the bibulmun track in south west western Australia was a big achievement for me. carrying everything you need on your back and you are completely in the bush. we were a little inexperienced and packed enough food for a small army, but it was great (rain, hail and all)!
