About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To taste the salt of the land and seas of many places and share its bread and wine with many of earth's beautiful natives!
ABOUT ME
I am reinventing myself in every moment these days. I like to keep busy and I have many interests. I have longed to travel more, and I hope now is the time! I am always interested to see new sights and enjoy new smiles.
PHILOSOPHY
Gratitude for all that is. Laughter! Ice cream and excellent coffee. Kindness and generosity. Wine and cheese. A journal, a good book, oil pastels and a sketch book. Flowers. Sharing. Passionate living and loving!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to help build this community through participating in this venue not only virtually, but in reality. I hope to share this opportunity with others through my own enthusiasm and gratitude!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed a few different couches in California. I've connected and become friends with local surfers in Minneapolis. I've met surfers passing through Minneapolis. Over time, I hope to meet surfers from all over the world!
Interests
My passion in life is in experiencing the sensuality of beauty. I find exquisite beauty exists in so many things: Nature, architecture, paintings, sculpture, practicing yoga, sharing philosophical ideas, listening to music, sitting at a sidewalk cafe.
I enjoy walks along the shoreline, gardening and going to gallery openings, museums and films. I take pleasure in cooking and in tasting new cuisine. I'm both an artist and a writer. I'm a metaphysician and a shamanic practitioner. I enjoy traveling, exploring other cultures, and meeting new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: The Four Agreements; Eat, Pray, Love; 30 Days to Great Italian. Movies: Don Juan de Marco; Like Water for Chocolate; Roman Holiday. Music: Spanish Guitar; Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar; Classical; Classics: Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Eartha Kitt, Nina Simone; etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen a red fox run through the brush in the glow of a campfire while overlooking moonlit Lake Superior. I've gazed across the expanse of the Sonoran Desert admiring the great Saguaro cacti in silhouette against a pink twilight, coyotes yipping and howling in the night. I've felt the satisfying warmth of a Grand-Marnier crepe on a cold, rainy night in Paris. I've felt the thrill of body surfing in the balmy waters along the coast of Mexico.
Teach, Learn, Share
What is important for me to share is that we are all stewards of planet earth. It is essential for us to commune with the earth, for she is alive. She appreciates when we admire her beauty, are in awe of her wonder, and when we place our hands in her soil, her waters, or upon her rock; when we love her up! She appreciates those of us who travel to explore her vast and expansive magnificence, and marvel at her amazing array of inhabitants. Let us be considerate of her and of each other in this place we call home.
