ABOUT ME

Hmmm... where to start?

I have two seemingly opposite sides to my existance:

The MONK and the monk-EY.

I am currently trying to bring out the monkey more.

I'm succeeding. ;)

The rest of the profile stuff you don't really need to read, but go ahead if you're bored.. ;)

I have a large sense of fun WHEN IT'S APPROPRIATE and I have been referred to as a human bouncy ball, Lightning with a fizzy centre, and just. Plain. mad.

*pauses and shakes head*

However, I am also known for being people's emotional rock. For being there when they need me. For talking sense and giving sound advice.

I can flip from one to the other at dizzying speed, but it usually causes people headaches, so I don't do that anymore... ;)

I truly have more energy than my mortal frame can hold on to...

It's taken 20 years to be able to contain most of it, the rest I either give to people, or let playfully crackle around the room... when I'm not being all Zen and calm, in which case, the atmosphere goes strangely serene and peaceful...

PHILOSOPHY

This is good one. *Pauses to compose thoughts*
I am in a period of re-assessment but it's funny how you go back to the core of your being. On a fundamental level, I would say I'm here to learn, and to support others on the way (whatever their "way" is).

I am led by compassion, but I'm not a sucker. ;)
"If it harms none- do what thou wilt" is a good way to live. I do.

I am a very spiritual person, who keeps grounded by practical things and so that I can support my friends/ family emtionally and otherwise.

Saying ALL this, I love to Monkey around and be playful! but not at the expense of others feelings.

I COULD go on, but I'd rather chat with people about this, eh?

Joined. in October 2008. I have discovered that not having a couch does not mean you can't be a member of the CS community... Apparently, according to some references, I can liven an event/meeting up... *shrugs*

I like all sorts of movies: as long as plot and characters are actually well thought out or performed/directed. but stuff like ... Blade Runner, Watership Down, Leon, Shawshank Redemption, Delicatessan, Subway, Nightwatch, The Princess bride, Papillion oh, goodness! the list goes on! This is NOT definative!

As for music, I like stuff that passes the "dance test". which could be practically anything. I do like to dance to heavy stuff, but don't let that frighten you... I like Tori Amos, decent Hip Hop, I dunno! play it and I'll TELL YOU! ;) (too many people define themselves by the bands they listen to... so restricting...)

Ah, books a beautiful passion. I like Sci-fi / sci-fantasy really. Orson Scott carde, Iain Banks, David Gemmell, Harrison (Stanless steel Rat)... I have various reference books too... ;)
