About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission; to provide a chill place for responisble, respectful and outgoing travelers...lets meet up and I will try my best to show you around a city that I too am discovering!

ABOUT ME

I strive to have as many diverse and unique experiences as possible. By being a part of different cultures and communities, I want to become as honest, non-judgmental and accepting a person as I can.I like to roll in nature and I love travelling, learning as much as I can about everything. Life would not be complete without an entree of music and some dancing for dessert. Cooking is an art that I have been exploring.
Good solid friendships are as important to me as family.
I like bluegrass. And raw jazz. Do you?

PHILOSOPHY

Do onto others what you'd like to be done to you! Smiles are an international language all their own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS has been a great way for me to travel through the eyes of those how live in the places I visit. I am a self-sufficient surfer at this point in my life so don't feel that you need to spend too much time showing me around though if your schedule and desire allow, I am always out for exploring your city with you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the summer of 2008 I began exploring the world of CS during my first stay with some lovely folks in Hanover, NH and have now found myself living in a house of beautiful people (who I met through CS) in Portland, OR. Burning Man 2009 was an incredible experience alone but enhanced because I stayed with the CS camp and now I am continuing to grow as a CSer! My home has always been welcome to Couch surfers when I am not traveling or heavy in my studies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently reading "Fraser's Penguins, A Journey to the future in Antarctica" in preparation for my dream to live in work in Antarctica to come true!

Am also knee deep into "A Country Under My Skin: A Memoir of Love and War" A beautifully written book about a woman's life under the dictatorship in Nicaragua and her part working with the Sandinistas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

FIRST: Waking up in the wee hours of the morning in Kosovo to the call to prayer. It was really beautiful! The sun was rising and the birds were awakening and slowly the lights in apartments began to illuminate. I had never experienced anything like that before.

SECOND: The genuine kindness of an old man who picked me up while I was hitch hiking in the mountains of Idaho. We made dinner together, he invited me into his home and we had wonderful conversation. It made me so happy. A very refreshing experience of a truly kind hearted person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll teach you how to make the best snickerdoodle cookies you'll ever experience. And, we can sit on the front porch while eating them.
