About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Lived at the South Pole, Antarctica, for two austral summers, vagabonded through Asia. Now working on my career in the Kansas City area.
ABOUT ME
I lived/worked at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica for two austral summers. Traveled/backpacked through southeast Asia thereafter. Now I'm settled semi-permanently (but still traveling!) in the Kansas City area. I can't offer a couch at the moment, but I would love to meet up!
-------------------------------------
28 year old Firefighter/EMT/ocean-lifeguard.
I write, I travel, I cook, and I'm hungry for more.
I am an active traveler, not a tourist. I like to "travel" and not "vacation" which why I love couchsurfing- for its meaningful relationships and adventures.
I am usually found outdoors, hiking, or in the water. It's all about bettering yourself as a person and having adventures.
I enjoy going to bars and clubs as much as I enjoy going to museums or spending an afternoon reading a book. I have an unhealthy fascination with all form of transportation. I prefer 2 wheels over 4. I love a good dive-bar. I love old, antique, classic things. I am always exploring and seeking out adventure.
Non-smoker, social-drinker. I strive to grasp reality, I endeavor to have fun, and not take myself too seriously. And I am attracted to people who are the same way.
PHILOSOPHY
Fear causes hesitation. And hesitations causes your worst fears to come true.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.â

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm always reading (mostly non-fiction)
I love all music
I don't really watch television (except for football and the odd rugby game I can find), but I LOVE old films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quit my job and stable life. Lived and worked in Antarctica. Ran barefoot and almost naked to the geographical South Pole. Traveled long-term/vagabonded through Asia. Saved several people's lives. Been inside burning buildings. Seen gunfire and hand-grenades going off in close proximity. Rock-climbed. Traveled cross-country via motorcycle. My bucket-list is a dynamic one. The list will continue til I die.
