To host people who may one day become friends and make the world a smaller place.

ABOUT ME

I spend my days at home either taking care of the place or doing research into old games. I also make game boards, pieces, etc that I then use to demonstrate and teach both adults and children at schools, libraries, collegiums, etc.
I read, enjoy movies, world music, good food, good company, my garden, pets, and multiple crafts. I have recently become quite proficient at Trichinopoly chainwork and have taught a few classes.
I volunteer at a local Middle School, both in the classroom and in the school's Olive Orchard.
I have traveled extensively and enjoy visiting museums and historic places, and of course meeting people. Now that it is a little harder for me to travel I enjoy hosting people from all over the world.
My daughter Lizz who now lives in Austin also couchsurfs.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted over 20 people now including 2 bands, which was really interesting. When I have free time, and the weather isn't too hot,I enjoy showing visitors some of the reasons Texas is a special place to live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a surfer none officially, but used friends, and friends of friends to travel before the internet age. Enjoyed meeting up with couchsurfers in Budapest and going on a great pub crawl. Have hosted over 20 people and hope to host more.
