ABOUT ME

2009 I sold/donated/dumpstered a vast majority of my possessions, I threw some clothes, photos, and my laptop in the back seat of my car, quit my job and away I went. Once I hit ocean I sold my car. I was terrified, well somedays I still am but I haven't had a single regret yet. I'm making it work.

I love music, old school rock-n-roll and rockabilly scenes are typically where I'll be in the record shop. I'm also big on alt country, bluegrass, indie, pop ballads, hip hop, cheesy musicals. I love going to see bands. I'll take the dive bar over a club in a heartbeat! But I never rule anything out, if it sounds fun, I'll do it.

When I'm not nursing a hangover, I occasionally love a mellow night reading a good book, watching a lame movie, baking vegan cupcakes, blog stalking, or melting into my floor while being serenaded by my favorite musicians.

I am a vegetarian, who plays for team vegan as often as possible. I'd like to say I'm not one of the crazies but... I think at some point it just happens and we never saw it coming, on that note I don't care about your diet preferences but I might try to convert you, on an up note it will probably be with yummy veggie dishes as opposed to slaughter house talk (unless of course you're interested...)

I love all things D.I.Y, typical starving artist and never work more hours at my "bill paying job" than I spend creating things. I get really excited about working on new projects, new ideas, or good finds at thrift stores, antique shops and etsy. I have a fondness in my heart for all things art. I love building things, writing, painting, sewing, singing at the top of my lungs around my house and blaming it on the cat.

I'm just trying to spend time exploring the world. I'm tired. I'm missing something. I've been investing in furniture and hair products for too long, I'm getting back to the basics. I don't know where I'm going or how long I'll be gone or if I'll ever even come back. I'm looking for something.

Well guys fast forward to 2011 and I'm not that cool anymore... I have a mailing address and somewhere that 2009 girl will always be a part of me but now I'm crazy in love and learning about how to take on the world with a partner in crime. We're currently planning our own big adventure starting with a two week North American route this winter.
