ABOUT ME

Non-smoker. Vegetarian (but not vegan). Single, never married and no kids, just a couple dogs I rescued from the pound. Night owl. After a couple years of Spanish in high school, a couple years of Spanish in college, and a couple years dating a Latina, you'd think I'd be fluent in Spanish by now, every time I'm south of the border (or visiting my dad in south Texas) I realize I'm not even close. I have a degree in Interior Design, though for the last few years I have been designing web sites, which means I sit at a computer most of the day (one reason I really need to get off my butt and take a vacation now and then).

I've surfed a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mixed. First time I tried this there were a lot of non or delayed responses. But a couple folks were quite helpful and I did find a good couch. The next time I received a higher percentage of responses, but I never did find a couch, but I was able to follow up on some suggestions, so though I did a lot of wandering around trying to figure out where to go and how to get there, it wasn't all bad.

Interests

I don't dance at all, but I'd like to learn salsa, bachata, cumbia...

One day I'd like to ride my motorcycle from Georgia (US) to... maybe Panama, or over to Belize.

Not long ago, I considered starting a small eco-tourism company, but my situation changed, so, who knows--maybe one day.

If I could figure out how to do it and make a living, I've wanted to "winter" in Latin America or the Caribbean for many years.
